An Academic forum session on Online Teaching: Experiences and Nuances and Learning with Technology (Shaping future ready students) was conducted on July 31, 2020 for all faculties of JKLU. The speakers of the session were Ms. Shraddha Bharatiya, Lecturer, Centre for Communication and Critical Thinking and Dr. Milind Thomas Themalil, Associate Professor, IET. Ms. Shraddha shared her experience of planning and delivering courses in previous semester and her preparedness of utilizing Norms, Zoom breakouts, Energizers, MOOC and external experts to deliver courses in upcoming semester. Dr. Milind Shared differences in generations in grasping the content, and bridging of gap between the tutor who belongs to one generation and learner belonging to another generation. He talked about a bundle of things to be taken care of during online delivery which includes from taking care of one’s health along with the preparation of content, time management, avoiding procrastination, proper planning etc. which is an essential part of the session. Vice Chancellor, Dr. R L Raina, emphasized on setting and communicating rules of the game well in advance. The session was co-ordinated by Dr. Sonal Jain.
