Hon’ble Minister of Industry and State Enterprise, Government of Rajasthan, Shri Prasadi Lal Meena inaugurated MP Ranjan- JKLU Design Resource Centre on March 25, 2019. The Center stocks Prof MP Ranjan’s personal collection of 1243 select volumes of books, mainly in the area of ‘Design’, donated by Prof Ranjan’s family to JKLU and is housed in the main Learning Resource Centre of our University. Late Professor MP Ranjan was a leading luminary in the field of ‘Design’ in India. “With the opening of the new centre, I believe that Rajasthan will be the one-stop hub for the designers at global level. I am honoured to inaugurate the centre, named after the stalwart of design, Prof MP Ranjan,” said Shri Prasadi Lal Meena, Minister of Industry and State Enterprise, Rajasthan.
Prof Aditi Ranjan, wife of Late Prof MP Ranjan was the Guest of Honour. We also had the presence of their daughter, Ms Aparna Ranjan at the occasion.
The occasion was graced by designers from Bangalore, Delhi, Ahmedabad and Jaipur who were keen to participate in the opening ceremony, besides all the senior faculty & students of JKLU and friends from the media. Following the inauguration, the Hon’ble Minister took a round of the Centre. He also interacted with the students who had put up an exhibition of their projects that were done in their classes.
