M.S. in Data Analytics and Computational Social Science
The M.S in Data Analytics is a master’s program designed for students focused on pursuing or advancing careers that rely heavily on framing, developing, and presenting data for evidence-based decision-making and communication or regularly interacting with computer scientists and other technical experts in fields such as political analysis, marketing analysis, financial analysis, product or project management, demographic analysis, social media analysis, strategic communication, and reputation management.
Graduates of this program will have developed skills relating to data driven decision-making, processing and analysing large datasets, ethical data management, evaluative data interpretation, and clear communication of data results. Possible career trajectories include analyst and consulting positions in public policy, market research, public relations, corporate communications, population studies, and survey research. The U.S. STEM OPT system will allow students to work up to 36 months post program completion.
M.S. in Applied Economics
The M.S. in Applied Economics is a master’s program that provides state-of-the-art training in empirical microeconomics and applied econometrics. It allows concentration in fields like Environmental and Natural Resource Economics, Empirical Industrial Organization, and Experimental and Behavioural Economics.
Graduates of this program will have the ability to analyse how consumers and firms make choices, how markets behave, and what data are needed to inform decisions. It will prepare students for careers in analysis and decision making for management, marketing, resource-based industries and economic consulting. The U.S. STEM OPT system will allow students to work for up to 36 months post program completion.
Master’s of Public Policy
The Master’s of Public Policy degree brings together political science, economics, statistics, management, and other social science disciplines enabling students to shape policies and programs around the globe. Students gain the knowledge, skills, and practical experience to become leaders in the non-profit, public, or private sector while creating meaningful social change.
Graduates of this program will be prepared for careers as policy, research, program or budget analysts in federal, state or local government or in non-profit or private organisations. They can also work as program managers, city or town administrators, or as directors of or managers in non-profit organisations. The U.S. Federal Government will allow regular post completion OPT (12 months) to the students.
