MY BIOGraphy

Umesh Gupta has 19 years experience in teaching, research, and administrative. He completed his M.Sc., M.Phil., Ph.D from University of Rajasthan, Jaipur. His areas of expertise are Statistical Data Analysis and Optimization Techniques. He had also worked as a Visiting Professor at St. Cloud State University, USA. He presented his paper in several international conferences including World Congress on Engineering and Technology (CET 2012) in China. Umesh Gupta has also visited reputed Institutions in India and abroad such as Olin College, USA, MIT USA, Harvard USA, IITs, NITs. He is the president of Soft Computing Research Society Jaipur, treasurer of ISTD Jaipur & Vigyan Bharti Rajasthan. Umesh Gupta is the life member of various national and international academic bodies, like, Indian Science Congress, Indian Mathematical Society, Operational Research Society of India, and Rajasthan Academy of Physical Sciences.

Umesh Gupta has been elected as the senior member of IACSIT, Singapore. He has a number of research publications in various International & National Journals & Conference Proceedings to his credit. Umesh Gupta has written the text books of Engineering Mathematics and Research Methods in Management and also has organized the 2nd International Conference on Soft Computing for Problem Solving (SocProS 2012) and “National Conference on Science and Engineering” at JK Lakshmipat University. Umesh Gupta has also organized training programmes supported by DST, SCRS and Michigan Technological University, USA. Umesh Gupta is the president of Institution’s Innovation Council of MHRD, Govt. of India at JKLU and also the core team member of Atal Incubation Center – JKLU.

Faculty Engagement in Higher Education: Challenges and Opportunities (An Empirical Study with Special Reference to Rajasthan), a research project for the Working Group on Education, State Planning Board, Rajasthan. This project was to perform statistical analysis on the responses collected from faculty members of higher educational institute of Rajasthan on their opinion on attraction and retention within their workplace.

Organized a week long Short Term Training Program on Research Tools in Pure and Applied Mathematical Science during June 14-20, 2015. This program was sponsored by Department of Science and Technology, Government of India and was organized in association with Michigan Technological University, USA.

Organized a Faculty Development Programme on Computational Techniques & Tools for Research during October 6-8, 2016. This program was sponsored by Soft Computing Research Society and was organized in association with Michigan Technological University, USA.

 

Co-author for the Best Paper Award for the paper entitled Water security in India: Linking role of institutions, human resources and policy for sustainability of operation and maintenance in the International Conference on Innovations in Technology and Management for Achieving Sustainable Developments Goals (ICSDG) organized by JK Lakshmipat University, Jaipur during February 1-3, 2019. This paper was authored by Dharmendra Kumawat of Public Health Engineering Department (State Government of Rajasthan) along with Dr. Roopali Sharma of Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra as the other co-author.

Coauthor for the “Best Paper Award” for paper entitled A Survey of User Perception Concerning e-waste Management in the 5th International Conference on Green, Growth, Globalization and Governance: Challenges and Opportunities organized by JK Lakshmipat University at its campus during February 02-04, 2018. This conference was organized by the University in association with St. Cloud State University, USA and Indian Society for Training and Development, Jaipur Chapter, Bombay Stock Exchange and Water Float. This paper was authored by Harshita Khangarot and Dr. Sonal Jain from JKLU.

Received the Outstanding Scientist Award by the Center for Advanced Research and Design, Venus International Research Foundation, Chennai at the Annual Research Meet 2016, for contributions in the field of Mathematics on 3rd December, 2016.
