It’s a social science that involves the in-depth study of governance systems along with the analysis of political thoughts, activities, and behaviour. The branches of these core subjects are public administration, comparative politics, international relations, political economy, political methodology, and public policy.
Economics majorly revolves around the study of how economies work and interactions & behaviour of economic agents. M.A. in Public Policy also throws an adequate light on microeconomics which is the study of the entire economy and its influencing factors.
M.A. in Public Policy involves the deep study of statistics to impart the learning about data collection, display, interpretation, analysis and presentation. The knowledge of statistics is often applied to address industrial, scientific, and social problems.
Management is also one of the major subjects, which aims to develop students with managerial skills crucial for any organization. It encompasses the learning of strategy making for an organization and utilizing the available resources to the fullest.



  • Candidate should have completed (or will complete before July 2020) minimum of three years of undergraduate (bachelor) degree in any discipline from an accredited institution or University in India.
  • Candidate need to be Indian citizens
  • Candidate should have studied Mathematics as a subject upto a minimum of 12th grade or equivalent
  • Candidate should have secured a minimum of 75% marks in their Undergraduate degree, 12th and 10th grades (or equivalent)



Candidates must first submit an expression of interest with the required information by 30 May 2020


Candidates will receive an invitation to complete and submit an online application form along with all requirements including a statement of purpose and recommendation letters.


Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an aptitude assessment and personal interview with the selection committee comprising of LSEF and UMass Amherst representatives.


Selections will be made on rolling basis until all the scholarships are granted and accepted. Therefore, early application is encouraged.


M.A (2020-21) Fee* in INR

Rs. 3,50,000/- per semester
Refund policy: Fee deposited for the registration is refundable till the beginning of the academic session. 10% processing fees will be deducted while processing the refund. Once the academic session begins, refund will be processed as per the UGC guidelines.
