M.Des Programme at the Institute of Design
Design is an exciting new domain that is in-demand, rewarding, and creative. In the short time since it was established, the Institute of Design at JKLU has made an impact. Our B.Des. programmes in new-age domains like Product Design, Interaction Design, and Interdisciplinary Design are without a doubt among the best in the country. We have now started the post-graduate programmes in Design leading to Master of Design (M.Des) in Product Design and Interaction Design. Here comes the best part. The programme is designed to be modular. The 2-year programme is split into smaller modules to get a qualification and enhance the career opportunities with each module. The two-year programme allows the students to do it in parts with intermediate certifications. Students earn credits and build their qualifications into a PG degree. The course contents have been divided into the following modules:
- Certificate in Design Thinking & Innovation (Semester I)
- Certificate in Design Foundation (Semester II)
- M.Des in Product/Interaction Design (Semester III + Semester IV)
Students can join a 2-year programme or start with individual modules building up to the PG degree. Graduates in any field of engineering will add a qualification that is contemporary and opens new horizons.
