How JKLU Prepares you for

M.Des. Career

Design is an exciting new domain that is in-demand, rewarding and creative. In the short time since it was established, the Institute of Design at JKLU has made an impact. Our B.Des. programmes in new-age domains like Product Design, Interaction Design and Interdisciplinary Design are without doubt among the best in the country. We have now started the post graduate programmes in Design leading to Master of Design (M.Des) in Product Design and Interaction Design. Here comes the best part. The programme is designed to be modular. The 2-year programme is split into smaller modules, so that the students can not only get a qualification but also enhance the career opportunities with each module. The two-year programme allows the students to do it in parts with intermediate certifications. Students earn credits and build their qualification into a PG degree. The course contents have been divided into the following modules:

  • Certificate in Design Thinking & Innovation ( 3 months)
  • Certificate in Design Foundation (3 + 3months)
  • PG Diploma in Integral Design ( 3 + 3 + 6 months)
  • M.Des. in Interaction Design / M.Des. in Product Design ( 3 + 3 + 6 + 12 months)

Students have the option of joining a 2-year programme or start with individual modules building up to the PG degree. Graduates in any filed of engineering will add a qualification that is contemporary and opens new horizons.
