How JKLU Prepares you for

BCA Career

A 3-year programme, focusses on building skills and knowledgebase for computer application development and IT administration. It is designed to help motivated students with the diverse disciplinary backgrounds to bring in a multi-perspective approach and creativity to their IT projects. The curriculum includes many core courses on contemporary and emerging technologies.

Redhat, Cisco, ORACLE, and IBM certifications are available.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

  • Minimum 60% aggregate marks in both Class X & XII (For class X compulsory subjects are English, Maths, Social Studies, Science and fifth subject of applicant’s choice. For Class XII compulsory subjects are English, Maths/Physics/ Economics/ Accountancy/ Computer Science/Informatics Practices and two subjects of applicant’s choice) or equivalent grades from a recognized Central/State Board/University Examination in India or in any foreign country recognized as equivalent to 10+2 system by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
  • Students appearing in the final examination of 10+2 may also apply. However, the admission will be provisional subject to achieving the minimum marks.
  • Foreign Nationals/ Persons of Indian Origin/Non-Resident Indian candidates can be considered for admission on the basis of their marks in 10+2 or equivalent examination only.
  • It may however be noted that possessing minimum qualification does not guarantee admission. University carries out a holistic evaluation of all achievements and takes a decision accordingly. The median 12th class marks among students admitted to BCA last year was around 72%.

Transport fee of Rs 15,000 to be paid every semester if the student wishes to avail the JKLU transport facility from Jaipur city to JKLU campus on specified routes.

  • The above-mentioned fee as applicable to citizens of India and SAARC Countries.
  • Hostel charges are on annual basis.
  • Hostel charges are for one academic year and the students are not allowed to leave the hostel during the semester.
  • Hostel fee, as above, is applicable to all boarding students.
  • Hostel rooms are on twin sharing basis. Hostel charges are subject to yearly revision.

Note: Hostel security deposit of Rs 5,000 payable along with first year’s fees.
Refund policy: Fee deposited for the registration is refundable till the beginning of the academic session. 10% processing fees will be deducted while processing the refund. Once the academic session begins, refund will be processed as per the UGC guidelines.

Scholarship for high merit students

Scholarships for Undergraduate Programmes offered at Institute of Engineering & Technology – BCA

To encourage and support meritorious Applicants, JKLU has a very distinctive scholarship programme. Applicant may qualify for a scholarship up to full waiver of the University Academic and Hostel Fee.

Scholarship is awarded based on:

  • Academic Performance in Class X & Class XII marks. (Only for those who have passed class XII in 2021 or 2022.)
  • Performance in JEE 2021 & 2022, if available.
  • Exceptional performance in co-curricular activities (Sports, Cultural, Social Service etc.)

The scholarship offered by JKLU is applicable for the duration of the programme, subject to maintaining the required CGPA.

Scholarship on the basis of exceptional performance in co-curricular activities (Sports, Cultural, Social Service etc.)

The scholarship level will upgrade by one level in case of exceptional achievements in any other sphere by the student. Any such upgradation in scholarship level will have to be approved by VC on the recommendation of Director, Admissions and Director of the Institute.

Relaxation in Scholarship criteria for special cases:

(Relaxation will be for only one category, even if the candidate belongs to more than one category.)

Continuation of scholarship in consecutive years:

Scholarships awarded at the time of admission will continue for the normal duration of the programme subject to the student achieving a specified minimum level of performance as given in the table below:

Additionally, we have a scheme of fee reduction for certain categories of students. As of now, we reduce fee by 25% for the following people:

  • Wards of any staff member of JKLU or any entity belonging to JKO
  • Sibling of any student (both get fee reduction)
  • Sibling of any alumni
  • Any alumni doing a second degree.

 

The scholarship decision will be based on rules applicable on the day the complete application is submitted, subject to admission being confirmed by paying the initial deposit. For example, if a student has 95% marks in 10th, and 12th class result will be available in June, 2022. Assuming that the student got 96% marks in 12th, the scholarship will be 100% (L1) if the application was submitted in March, but it will be 75% (L2), if the application was submitted in May. Hence it is important to submit applications as early as possible.
