Role of student clubs in shaping student skills and making them life ready

Student Clubs at a university are committed to help students get most out of their experience at the university. They offer endless opportunities for student leadership and participation beyond classroom setup and academic programme. Student clubs provide the platform to welcome unique perspectives and life experiences all students bring to the University. It helps in students’ transformation and holistic development. The clubs are particularly aimed at helping students to get involved and find their own niche on campus.

Student clubs at university level nurture shaping skills of the students and make them life-ready. The club activities play an important role in determining and directing the passion and interest of students, beyond their academic pursuit. The extracurricular activities organizing by these clubs teach the students practical factors of life, making them not only job ready but making them ready to face the uneven path of survival in the world of cut-throat competition.

Student clubs help in learning to work with a team as it is an essential skill for any career; it provides networking opportunities through student-meetings across various programs of the university, making connections, and building relationships for life. You will be learning how different people respond and react to certain situations and grab the opportunity to learn about different cultural backgrounds. Student clubs also provide opportunities to the students by selecting the office bearers for organizing activities and pursuing the goal of each club, and help in developing leadership skills. Student clubs help in knowing about yourself, your strengths, and your goals better, and help in generating ideas to serve others. Over and above, the student clubs provide an apt platform to have fun and showcase talent and build a healthy culture during in college.

JK Lakshmipat University one of the premier private universities in the country, known for its cutting-edge teaching pedagogy with project-based learning approach, management practices, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Data Analytics, being aimed at providing wholesome experience to the students in and outside the classroom to hone their technical and personal skills. The University has 16 student clubs under the banner of JKLU Student Life Committee, catering to technical, cultural, social, recreational, health and welfare needs and interests of the students. The clubs at JK Lakshmipat University include Dance, Music, Drama, Community Development, Sports, Quiz, Photograph, Debate, Robotics, Coding, Design/Art, Media, Multimedia & Animation and Business & Investment. These clubs at JKLU are joined, and run by the students from across the programmes, where they drive various techno, management, and cultural activities throughout the year.
