This programme is aimed at design and commercial production (conversion of raw materials into various useful products by chemical, physical and biological transformations) of various organic & inorganic chemicals, petroleum products, petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, metals, oil & natural gas, sugar, pulp & paper, etc. This programme will help in developing the required skills to become qualified Chemical Engineers capable of facing the unknown situations and finding feasible alternate solutions.

In this specialization, students will understand the basic concepts and design aspects associated with various unit operations (fluid flow operations, mass transfer operations, heat transfer operations, and mechanical operations), unit processes, reaction engineering, process control, environmental pollution control, energy integration, optimization, modeling, simulation (Aspen Plus, Fluent, Gambit, Hysis, etc.), conceptual design, economics, etc.

The faculty and staff members of the department are dynamic individuals who are committed to deliver high-quality teaching programs while nurturing an environment where students develop basic fundamentals of chemical engineering skills and raise their awareness of the profession and of its impacts in the Indian chemical industry and the chemical engineering profession worldwide. The curricula of undergraduate courses are designed to support and foster Chemical Engineering as a profession, which interfaces Engineering with all aspects of Basic Sciences. Keeping in view of the current and future requirements of the academia and industry, the department of Chemical Engineering offers a wide spectrum of courses supplemented by a number of electives in the emerging areas at undergraduate level. In order to ensure a broad-based education, both the theory and practical aspects of Chemical Engineering discipline are emphasized.

10+2  with  at  least   50%   aggregate(45% for  SC/ST  Candidates) and  minimum  50%   marks   or  equivalent in Physics, Mathematics and  any one  of the  four optional  courses (Biology, Bio - technology, Chemistry, Computer Science) from a recognized Central/State Board/University Examination in India or in any foreign country recognized as equivalent to 10+2 system by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). Students appearing in the ?nal examination of 10+2 may also apply. The diploma  holders (3-year Polytechnic programme by a recognized Institute) in any program of Engineering (offered by JK Lakshmipat University, Jaipur) with minimum of 45%  marks  (45% for SC/ST candidates) in aggregate are eligible for lateral entry into 2nd year of B. Tech Programme.

The applicants are required to appear in one of the National level Engineering admission tests, such as JEE or any other equivalent state level engineering entrance examination held in 2017.  Foreign Nationals/ Persons of Indian Origin/Non-Resident Indian candidates can be considered for admission on the basis of their marks in 10+2 or equivalent examination only (taken not earlier than July 2015)

  • Online application through the  University  website for which  application fee of Rs.  1000/- is payable. Online Payment can be made through Credit/ Debit card at the time of submission of application.

  • The application form can be downloaded from our website and submitted along with a DD of Rs. 1,000/-. Application  form can also be directly obtained by cash or DD from the Institute. One could visit our website for further details. Candidates in the category of Foreign  Nationals/Persons of Indian  Origin/Non  Resident Indians  should enclose a bank  draft  of USD 100 or Rs. 6900/• drawn in favour of JK Lakshmipat University and payable at Jaipur along with the completed application form.

Selection Process

  • First preference shall be given to the candidates having their merit on the basis of scores in JEE 2017.
  • Further seats remaining vacant admission shall be made on the basis of merit in qualifying examination considering all subjects.
