Blockchain workshop organised by the Computer Society of India chapter of JK Lakshmipat University in collaboration with Coding Blocks on Blockchain and Google Summer of Code. The objective of the workshop was to give a brief overview about blockchain, its practical applications and a little insight to open source platforms related to it. Students were introduced to Collective Ledger and Distributive Ledger technologies and how bitcoin currency works.
The speaker for the occasion, Mr Anuj Garg, is an open source enthusiast and a GSoCer under RedHat Foundation. He has worked in the core teams of various products by RedHat and is an expert in Enterprise Java and web services.
JK Lakshmipat University promotes initiatives and new methods of learning. Through workshops conducted at JKLU, students get to learn about many things they otherwise might be ignorant about.
