Report on National Convention on Quality Concepts: Creating Value to the Society

Quality Circle Forum of India (QCFI) organized a National Convention on Quality Concepts: Creating Value to the Society at Mysuru from 1-3 December 2017. Director-IET (Dr. Anupam Kumar Singh) attended and acted as a Judge for evaluating the case study presented by various industries on quality concepts, Kaizen and 5S. The event was attended by 17000 participants represented by 1680 Quality Circles from 380 multi-national and national organizations across India. Few of the organizations present were Birla Century, Apollo Tyre, NMDC, Hindalco Industry, Steel Authority of India Ltd., Ginni Filament Ltd., SAIL, BHEL, Ceat Tyre, Parle Ltd., Minde Furukawa Electric, Harita Seating Systems, Secure Meter, JK Lakshmi Cement, Aashi Glass Ltd., and Gabriel India.

His Holiness Jagadguru Dr. Sri Shivarathri Rajendra Mahaswamiji, Pontiff of Suttur Math grace the occasion as Chief Guest. The events of competitions on Quality Circle, Lean Quality Circle, Kaizen, 5S, Six Sigma concept and Allied Team Concepts. Technical Exhibition, Presentation, Green Revolution initiatives, Quiz Contest, Model Exhibition and Skit Contest were some of the highlights during 3-days event.
