Dr. Sandeep Kumar Tomar is an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry. He did his Masters and Doctorate from Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut. With over Seventeen years of teaching, research, and administrative experience, he has held various administrative positions in the capacity of Dean, Head Applied Science Department, Chief Proctor and Controller of Examination. Before joining JKLU, Jaipur Dr. Tomar had been associated with MIET, Meerut an institute affiliated to U.P. Technical University Lucknow (U.P). Dr. Tomar took initiatives in driving the Institute's strategic response to internal and external challenges, in particular the matters related to the student counseling, academic structure, curricular flexibility, and students' expectations, performance and progress.
Dr. Tomar is a Life Member of Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE), New Delhi, Indian Society of Radiation and Photochemical Science (ISRAPS) BARC, Mumbai, Material Research Society of India (MRSI) IISc Bangalore and Active Member of the Society for Advancement of Electrochemical Science and Technology (SAEST), Karaikudi. Dr. Tomar's current research areas of interest include Polymer electrolyte for device application, ion conducting composite electrolyte for solar cells and Dye sensitized solar cells (DSSC). Over the years, he has published and presented research papers in International journals and conferences in India and abroad. Dr. Tomar has acted as an External Examiner for the viva-voce exams of Ph.D students of different universities. He is the Editorial Board Member of International Journal of materials in chemistry SAP, USA and peer reviewer for many international journals such as International Journal of materials in chemistry, IONICS by Springer and International Journal of Industrial Chemistry (Springer). He has also reviewed books on Engineering Chemistry for reputed publishers such as Tata McGraw Hill, New Delhi.
