The curriculum is designed to enrich the students with the knowledge and relevant skills to prepare them not only to face the contemporary world but also to make them future ready to perform the leadership roles assigned to them effectively. The curriculum is updated to integrate changes that are taking place in the business environment. The curriculum consists of compulsory (core) and elective courses. The core course package provides students with the foundation of business. Elective courses, on the other hand, are offered with an option to specialize in an area.
For MBA (Full Time Residential) programme, the University presently offers specialization in Finance, Marketing, Human Resource, International Business Information Technology, and operations management areas. A specialization or an elective course is offered only if a minimum number of students opt for it. For other programmes, courses are centered around that specialization, such as family business and entrepreneurship, educational administration and integrated MBA.
The internship is intended to give the students an opportunity to enhance their knowledge, sharpen the skills, appreciate the practical problems and begin planning their career in the light of practical experience gained during the period. It provides an opportunity to a student to see the work life closely and learn to bridge the gap between theory and practice. It also helps a student in understanding the possible application of the concepts learnt by him or her in the classroom. At the end of the first year of MBA programme, the students are required to undertake project assignment in an organization. The summer internship is for 8-10 weeks in the case of MBA students. B.Tech students are required to undergo structured industrial exposure through Practice School I for duration of 6 weeks after completing 2nd year and for a duration of 22 weeks in the final year.
